| Pies, big cookies (choc-chip, oatmeal/raisin, sugar), brownies, banana & pumpkin breads usually sell best. Cakes, muffins, Unusual flavors in sweet breads or cookies sell least. Only use "Clear" saran wrap, colored wrap sells last. (see below on best how to use wrap) Cookies on a plate usually sell better than cookies in a bag. Use heavy-duty plates. Make sure all items are thoroughly cooked and have cooled before wrapping. And all items need to be marked to the nearest .25 price. |

Pricing depends on size and quantity, but here is a general guideline: Pies or cakes - $4 to $6 (depends on size) Cookies (regular size) - $3 to $3.50 a dozen Cookies (jumbo size) - $4 to $4.50 a dozen Brownies - $4 to $5 a dozen Sweet Breads - $3 to $5 depending on size (small, medium, large) Have a price list of your items, how many items at each price, for the cashier when you arrive. Have Scout's name or initials on each item. |
| Using Saran wrap. Example - cookies: put cookies on a "Styrofoam" plate... cover with Saran wrap...fold Saran wrap under plate....place on top of another plate to hold wrap in...then using clear tape...tape top plate to bottom plate...placing tape on the Saran wrap at the sides of the top plate and to the bottom of the second plate. Tape, at least, four sides...like on a compass...N - S - E - W. This will give the product more strength as not to spill, hold the wrap tighter (clearer to see the product) and gives a nicer presentation of the product. Remember no colored Saran wrap! Best not to use those thin paper plates! |
| Claypool Lions Club Fish Fry is a walk through, but sales average around $300 plus each time |
