| A Scout Shirt (short sleeve is best) Try Good-Will or the likes, for a good used one to save money. One size larger is also a good idea. On the Shirt he will need: Council Patch ($3.25), Troop numbers (715) ($3.25) A Scout Handbook (once again look for a used one) A Merit Badge Sash (after he starts earning Merit Badges, this will take a couple on months) |

| The cost of rank patches ($1.75), merit badges ($2.40 ea.) or any other award earned is at the expense of the Scout's family "on or before the date that it is given". Troop 715 has "Scout Accounts" set up for any money earned or given to the scout that can be used for future expenses, such as Camporees, awards, or summer Troop 715 trips. Please note: the above prices tend to go up each year. |
| On the "Early Ranks" - Scout to First Class The family may use the Scout Handbook and help the Scout achieve the requirements. Merit Badges The "Required" ones must be earned through the Troop. The "Elective" ones must be done through a Troop or Council approved person. Ask Questions to a "Uniformed" Troop 715 Leader, if you have any...do not guess. |
